Talking it out helps

Dear Medical and Advanced Practice Staff:

We’re very excited to offer a new benefit for all St. Joseph Hospital Medical and APP Staff, starting today, called Marvin. Providence has partnered with Marvin Behavioral Health to provide access to licensed counselors trained to support the mental health needs of healthcare professionals.

According to the American Medical Association, physicians remain at higher risk for burnout compared to other US workers, with over 45% of physicians reporting at least one symptom of burnout. Our jobs and personal lives can be both fulfilling and stressful, and sometimes we need care, too. The Marvin Behavioral Health benefit is available to all St. Joseph Hospital Medical and APP Staff members, their partners, and adult dependents (18+), providing access to licensed counselors. The service offers:

  • Night and weekend sessions
  • 1-1, couples, and family therapy
  • Most insurances accepted. Marvin can bill your health plan, or you can pay a cash rate of $95 per 50-minute session.
  • 24/7 crisis support hotline at 888-404-1163
  • Completely confidential – Neither Providence nor the SJO Medical Staff has access to any information or the names of individuals who access the benefit.

Please visit the website to learn more or to access the services of Marvin at Marvin Sign Up or visit www.meetmarvin.com/providence-orange Attached you will find a FAQ and other helpful information.
