Dear Caregivers,
Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you and your families! As we wrap up 2025, I hope you’re able to slow down and spend time with the people who matter most, sharing a few laughs, favorite traditions, and some moments of rest.
I’ve enjoyed all the Christmas cheer around the hospital these past few weeks. From Christmas lunch and Hot Chocolate rounding to ugly sweaters, “So Merry, So Bright” selfie wall photos, Elf on the Shelf sightings, gingerbread houses and department potlucks—it’s been a lot of fun to see so much spirit and creativity on display.
The holidays are everywhere you look.
This season is a good reminder of what matters most: kindness, compassion, generosity and looking out for one another. Those values aren’t just part of the holidays, they’re what I see every day in the halls of St. Joseph Hospital. You bring them to life through the care you provide, the way you support patients and families, and how you show up for each other.
As I reflect on the year, I’m grateful for each of you. Your dedication to our community, your resilience through challenges, and your commitment to exceptional care are what make St. Joe’s such a special place. Nearly a century ago, the Sisters of St. Joseph began a legacy of compassionate service, and every day you continue that legacy through the work you do.
To our caregivers and physicians working through the holidays—thank you. Your willingness to be here on Christmas and New Year’s ensures our community continues to receive the care it needs. As a small token of our appreciation, we’re providing a Christmas meal for all caregivers and providers working day or night shifts through 11 p.m. You can expect a ham or roast dinner, with potato hash, green beans and chocolate chip cookies. Please stop by the cafeteria and enjoy a warm meal from us to you.
Whether you’re celebrating Christmas, Kwanzaa, or simply enjoying time with loved ones, I wish you a season filled with peace, joy and rest.
