Medical Staff,
I’m pleased to announce that St. Joseph Hospital reached the highest level of nursing excellence by earning the prestigious Magnet® with Distinction recognition, an honor bestowed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. This newly established recognition highlights organizations that surpass stringent standards for nursing excellence. St. Joseph Hospital is among just four hospitals in California, 30 hospitals nationwide and the first within Providence to achieve this designation.
Today marks St. Joseph Hospital's fifth Magnet® redesignation, elevated by the honor of Magnet with Distinction. This achievement sets us apart as one of the leading healthcare institutions in the country, underscoring our commitment to exceptional patient outcomes, professional development and a nurturing environment that empowers nurses at every level.
Securing our fifth Magnet designation is an extraordinary milestone, but to be recognized with distinction is a testament to the unwavering dedication, innovative spirit, and compassion our entire team brings to patient care. This award is a celebration not just for our nursing staff, but for all our caregivers, medical staff and volunteers. It reflects our commitment to prioritizing patient care consistently and validates the outstanding quality of work performed across every department, every shift, every day.
Congratulations to our entire team for this exceptional achievement!
