St. Joseph Hospital is proud to announce the new REBELS program: The Robert E. Ball Emeritus Legacy Society. To celebrate physicians foundational to St. Joseph Hospital’s excellence, the REBELS Ambassador Committee, comprised of Emeritus Staff physicians and hospital leadership, will annually induct deserving physicians to receive a REBELS Lifetime Recognition Award. Its first event was held on March 27, with these worthy honorees:
Raymond Casciari, MD; David William Furnas, MD; Alan B. Gazzaniga, MD; James Alexander Grimes, MD; G. William “Bill” Hawkins, MD; Abraham S. Lakshin, MD; Donald C. Martin, MD; Marshall Rowen, MD; M. Linda Sutherland, MD; F. Joseph Triggs, Jr., MD, and John West, MD.
"The impact of a physician’s career does not end at retirement," states Chief Executive Brian Helleland. "It lives on in the institution you helped build, in the colleagues you mentored and in the countless lives you touched. Dr. Robert E. Ball's vision to keep this community of physicians connected, engaged and honored continues through the REBELS program and the Legacy Society we celebrate today."
